Three days from now I will be snuggling my boy. I talked with him yesterday and he can't wait to come home. He actually stepped away from our ex and whispered into the phone that he really likes being here more than there. He said he still wishes he could live with us but he didn't want his "Iowa mommy" to hear him and get mad. I said I understood but not to worry, he will be home soon.

He is very happy about the camping trip, of course. We have taken him to Ancient Ways Festival every year since he was four (except for the year I missed because I was in Florida helping mom). He so loves it there. One of those interesting things that the three of us adults share is that despite our very different families, we all have wonderful happy memories of camping with our parents when we were kids. We are happy to pass that one to our son. Add to that how amazingly social Rowan is, and he is always ecstatic to go with us to the festival.

When we get back from the Festival, we pack up the rest of the house and move over to the new one the next weekend. Still looking for help packing that week and help moving the furniture on June 18 & 19.

This afternoon, [livejournal.com profile] mikz helped me clear the new back yard. There weeds almost as tall as me. I dug up the big weeds by the roots with a shovel. [livejournal.com profile] fuzzydragon had started cutting the grass with a weedwacker the other day, [livejournal.com profile] mikz finished that process. Next we have to rake/vacuum up the cut grass/weeds. After that, we need to rent a tiller and break the ground for planting. Two sides with be planted flower beds. One side with have our sheds and a play structure. The large center area will need sod. If you want to help till, plant etc., just let me know.

We have a lot of stuff we will be selling or giving away. For example, we will be selling our Kenmore washer and dryer, the window air conditioner, a couple vcrs, and the smaller of our two refrigerators. Lots of smaller stuff too. If you are interested, let me know.

I enjoyed helping out in the back yard. Not the kind of thing I'd
want to do all the time, but it was a fun change. =)

Where in the old place is the smaller refrigerator? How big is it,
exactly, and more importantly, how efficient? Any idea what kind of
money you're looking for for that?

Frig is the one in the kitchen. I don't know anything about the efficiency. It works fine. We were going to ask $50.
