Hell of a day! Well, it wasn't actually as bad as all that -- it just felt that way because of the heat! Not only am I still in PMS and in a Fibro flare-up -- but the heat always makes both conditions worse. We were all pretty uncomfortable today even as we tried to focus on getting the house ready for Saturdays social event.

On the positive side, the three of us seem to be getting along better.

airshipjones finally got his unemployment insurance screw-up straightened out. We should be getting five checks in a week or so. That will help the backlog of bills some. And he has been getting a lot more calls and interviews this week. (Thanks, Tom.) He is also finally working on balancing the checkbook. (It hasn't been balanced in 2004 at all!) Now if both he and

uncledark both got good jobs, we might be able to get a stable financial situation. It won't safe us from bankruptcy but it would help with a stable base to rebuild.

uncledark was pretty frustrated with last minute changes in the weekend plans and he always gets cranky in the heat, but he handled it all better than he has been doing when things upset him. He got most of the shopping and cooking prep done for the weekend. He also got some new comic books which always cheers him up.

My mom,

redhatmary has been getting out more and being more self-sufficient. That is a big help for all of us. Today she helped watch Victoria while

fuzzydragon worked with me.

Meanwhile, I am up at nearly 4 AM here. It is just so nice to have a temperature that feels good. I have been making small (and some kinda big) revisions in earlier chapters of the book. Adding in little missing bits and fixing things that are unclear. I am half way through chapter 15 but am waiting for inspiration to strike. The first half of the chapter is great, but that makes it even harder in some ways. I wanted to get another scene written before I go to sleep. I think I may have to sleep on it though. That works sometimes to break things loose.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I have a much needed chiropractic appointment at noon. We have to get the house cleaned for the private ritual we are hosting and then be hosts for the event. I hope I have a chance for a nap in the afternoon so as to insure my participation in the evening.
