Rowan Update
Rowan arrived home on Sunday, May 30th at 4 in the afternoon. As always, he was ecstatic to be home. He loved the changes we have made since he was here last and was very cuddly. He has been very loving in his visits with Granny
redhatmary in the hospital. And asking lots of really cool questions of the medical personnel. Never ceases to delight me how quick and curious he is!
Monday was Rowan's Birthday Party. The theme was Spiderman. I made a cake that looked like a building with an action figure of spiderman on top. (It was even finished before the party started!) There was a pin the spider on the web game. Ten children and at least that many adults had a wonderful time eating cake and ice cream and hanging out together. The kids got along so well that we didn't have to enforce a single time out the entire day! In attendance were: Allegra, Victoria, Gabriella, Lynessa, Linnea, Kevin, Ori, Zander, and Meghan. Rowan was delighted to celebrate and play with his friends again. My favorite moment was probably watching Daddy
airshipjones lead them in a game of Duck-Duck-Goose. The adults got to hang out under our beautiful new pavilion and gossip. It was lots of fun.
Yesterday was spent hanging out with his parents while we packed and did errands to prepare for the camping trip. We also visited Granny in the hospital again. I have had a bad head cold since Sunday. Last night the worst of it seemed to pass and now I just have the usual lung goop and a very sore nose/lip area. As I write this,
uncledark is packing vehicles while
airshipjones helps Rowan clean his room.
We leave as soon as we can get everything packed up... We will be back Sunday night.
airhshipjones who is still job hunting, will follow us up on Friday. (He had a good job interview yesterday.) We hope to see lots of wonderful friends at the festival. Luv.

I'm crushed that I won't get to inflict the festival with my children (who have recently decided that they want to be pagan if they're going to be any religion at all....and I deliberately left the question of "which religion are we" up to them). I don't get to go either and
Give Rowan a hug for me even though I can't meet him yet. Maybe you guys will get the chance to come visit sometime during the summer and we can let the kids play then.
