Mary Update

redhatmary is doing pretty well but still in the hospital. It would be nice if folks who knew her were to visit her while she is there. She is in the Alta Bates Hospital, Summit Campus, 350 Hawthorne, Oakland. She is currently in room 4012. Her last name is the same as mine. She loves people to sit with her. If you don't know what to say, that's okay, she really likes to be read to.
They will be moving her to a rehab facility, probably near the hospital, at the end of the week. You can always call the hospital and find out where they have moved her.
Background: She went in for the open heart surgery last Thursday, May 27. They repaired her mitreal heart valve and did a bypass graft. She started out in CPU, then was moved to ICU. Two days ago she was moved to her own room. She was quite disoriented at first but it improving rapidly.
uncledark and I have to leave for four days to take our son to the Ancient Ways Festival. Troy will be coming up to Harbin on Friday. We will return on Sunday. It would help a lot if folks would visit her and help keep her spirits up.
