Update on Mary

My mom's (redhatmary) heart condition is much worse than they thought. Instead of just a leaking valve, there are problems with the arteries. Looks like she may need bypass surgery (for which she is high risk). She has significant blood leakage into her lungs.

They have postponed surgery tentatively until May 27th. (Yes, right before Rowan returns and we have to go to Ancient Ways.)

Troy still doesn't have a new job. No interviews even.

24 days until Rowan returns.

*sigh* I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm wishing you all good luck and sending healing energy.

Can you make some backup plans with regard to Ancient Ways, so if you need to be home with mom, it won't be a disaster? Line up other folks for the shuttle now, etc?

BTW: Looks like Allegra will be out of town at her Grandparents' from June 22 to July 6. Let's try to make some plans to get the kids together when neither one is out of town.

Just remember to breathe, dear. Don't let stuff overwhelm you, do one thing at a time, you'll come out on the other side of this. Your mother has enough willpower to move a mountain, she can get through this as well.
