10 Day Headache

So far.

Health issues again. I am prone to migraines. Usually for a couple days pre-menstrual. But this is a new record. I have had migraine symptoms for ten days now with no relief in sight. The Imitrex doesn't seem to help, even though I went through all I had and have gotten more. The over the counter migraine Excedrine did bring the pain down some but was causing stomach problems. I have been feeling like I have an axe in the head, dizziness and nausea for a week and a half.

Just a status report and explanation of why I have been not very social.

I get migraines really bad, and they do go on for days at a time. I dont know if it will help much, but when I get them, Its because I dont seem to have eaten enough natural sugar- fresh fruit does this for me, and fruits that are high in it, (apples, pears, plums, and I think pomenegranates-not sure on the last bit) seem to take the edge off of it. Also, Laying down is one of the worst things I think a person can do for a migraine, cause with me, it forces me to just lay there in a state of pain and moan about it. So instead, I get up and dance, or if my asthma is giving me a tough time on particular said day, I try a mild intellectual pursuit, like chess with zilchy- I keep the lights dim and play a few rounds with him, and usually it helps me to relax. A glass of wine is good for this, too.
I have the excedrine, which does work well if you can stand the stomach pain it gives you. Ive never used the imitrex, tho. I resort to pills as a last resort.
Im sincerly sorry about everything thats been going on. I'll see if Im able to help any; it may be hard cause zilchy and I just got a new place-but I'll talk to him. If I can get up there one weekend and maybe do some body work for you guys, I certianly will. And until then, all my love, thoughts, and prayers are with you.
