Hair Experiment Results

So after a year and a half growing my hair out, I finally declared the experiment over. Long hair just doesn't suit me. Yes, it looks nice. It just does not feel like me. Most people who are close to me seem to have had the same opinion. Even fairieboy was missing my usual look.

Yesterday, I had my hair recut back to the classic bi-butch look I had for many years -- short on top and sides, but long in back which I will keep braided as I did before. The back is still a bit short for good tails but it will grow out again. When I cut my hair two years ago, the tails were over two feet long. When I woke up today, it was such a relief to look in the mirror and see something that really looks like me again. It looks good and I feel good.

I totally get what you mean about it "looking nice, but just not being YOU"--At least when they did all that strange stuff to my hair and face in NY, I could just wash it and comb it out!
