Breaking Ground!!

airshipjones and fuzzydragon are rototilling the backyard today! When we moved in it looked like an abandoned lot -- large with uneven ground and lots of weeds. We pulled weeds and mowed. Now we are tilling the ground. We are planning garden beds, fountain, play equipment and lawn area. I have one rose bush to plant so far. I need lots of flowering and/or fruiting plants. So if you want to help make the garden grow, just let me know. In particular, donations of plants would be really nice. I especially want: roses bushes, iris bulbs, lavender and rosemary. Any colorful perennial flowers would also be very nice. Herbs are appreciated too. Let me know if you have a plant to contribute, would like to work on the garden or donate money for the plants.

Have you rented the rototiller? If so, for how long? I might want to snitch it for a bit if you have it for a few days, if that's ok with you. Let me know.

We have a plastic play structure/slide in the backyard I've been thinking of off-loading. Is it something that you'd like for little Victoria or other smalls? It's pretty good size, about 4' x 4' x 4'. When it's clean it can make a pretty good playhouse, though it has no roof unless you put a tarp over it or something.
