We're back!
Aug. 2nd, 2005 01:01 pmWe had a wonderful weekend with our old friends in Seattle. The ranch was wonderful, peaceful and fun. Such a short visit but worth the trip regardless.
We had to drive all night to make it back in time for
fairieboy's Drama Camp. He slept well in the back,
uncledark drove the early evening part and I took the rest. We arrived home at 5:30 in the morning. Which means we made it in under 13 hours. I got in and collapsed and slept for most of the next 24 hours. Luckily, the Daddies and Granny Mary took over and let me rest.
There are more than 150 LJ entries among my friends over the weekend, so I don't expect to be able to read them all. I skimmed a bit. If there is anything important, best to let me know directly.
This week,
fairieboy has Drama Camp 8:30 AM to 3 PM, Monday-Friday. We also have our Karate classes Tue & Thur evenings. His friend Allegra is staying over Wed night. Friday night I am going to a Womanhood Ritual and the Daddies and son will have a "boy's night." Saturday there is a Lammas ritual we hope to attend.
Meanwhile, I will spend the week trying to get more unpacking done and prepare for the visit of a dear friend from Ireland who arrives on Sunday. She and her three kids will be staying with us most the week.
I am also hoping to get some of the story ideas I thought of while driving typed into the computer.
Speaking of which, still no DSL. We are still having to use dial-up and do not have access to our regular mail/websites. May be the end of August before that changes.
Now, I am off to the Lenscrafters. I broke my glasses on the trip back. I needed new ones anyway, but now I have to get them.
