Solitary practice for a social person?

One of the things I don't like about writing is that it is a very solitary practice. I hole up in my room for days at a time barely coming out.

When I get feedback either in person or in livejournal, it makes the process less lonely. I find it ironic that the need to share my ideals with other people often keeps me away from them.

Me too, The last couple of months I found the combination of writing, living alone, and not having a job to be too lonely even for an introvert like me. It was one of the things that led to me getting a roommate.
