It is very quiet now at home. We had a good weekend, but it is nice to have a few minutes to sit and typed this. Only I'm not typing, I'm dictating it. I was able to get my new voice-recognition program installed and set up. The new version is so much more accurate and easier to use than the old ones. I also made sure to get a very good microphone headset this time.

Rowan is sitting to my side, using his new Leapfrog Quantum Pad. His Aunt Tammy bought him the pad a couple months ago, along with a geography game. Yesterday, his Grandpa and Grandma McKee bought him the entire third grade series: math, grammar, science, and history. So he is happily filling that big brain of his and having fun doing it. Meanwhile Lon is at work, and Troy is at a job interview. I'm supposed to have coffee or tea with a friend today, but haven't heard back as to when. We also need to go see Mary in the hospital.

She is still in the Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley. They plan to move her to a rehab center over at the Summit campus sometime this week. Hopefully after a couple weeks of nursing and rehabilitation, she should be well enough to come home.

Tuesday night, we hope to go to the East Bay Poly Potluck. Wednesday night, we hope to go to Sunset and Port. This weekend , we hope to be sightseeing with Lon's sister, Meghan and her to girls.

How does the voice recognition software work for your writing, either LJ composing, email, or your novel? I've thought about it to help with my wrists, but I don't know how well it works.
