April is a Dangerous Month
Apr. 13th, 2004 10:36 pmI'm beginning to think April is a bad month for us.
April 19, 2002 -- My mother went into the hospital and I spent the next several months in Florida!
April 1, 2003 - Troy was laid off of his job.
April 24, 2003 - I fell and shattered my leg.
April 1, 2004 - Troy lost his new job he has only had a few months.
Please let me make it through this month without any more problems!
I have thrown myself into work the last couple weeks. With the help of
airshipjones and friends, we have accomplished a lot:
New pond in back with four Koi fish!! (Will be finishing the waterfall and finding rocks soon.)
Planted lots and lots of flowers and veggies including: tomatos, a gardenia bush, azelia plant, a minature pomegranate tree, bazil, oregano, chocolate mint, sweet majorum, thyme, impatients, and a grape vine.
Hung decorations in back and front of house.
Installed and fixed a screen door.
Reorganized the bookstore in the store room, doubling the bookshelf space and reorganzing the books.
Set up a sewing supplies area in the store room.
Started a large number of mead batches.
Got a new (used) patio table.
Found and put up some of our missing books.
Reorganized the office, including putting a supply cabinet in there and moved the shelves.
Scanned a lot of old photos and begun making a series of online albums.
Began sewing new wrap pants for
uncledark.
Got rid of lots of old stuff we didn't need!
I have entered over 500 books into my online store in the last month. I now have about 2500 listed.
I am enjoying having my home looking so much better and still have a long list of ToDos. This week's nasty chores are financial - taxes and bankruptcy papers. I would rather do more gardening, sewing and fixit projects. Sigh.
Between missing my boy and being broke, I have been pretty down. I know working is a way to avoid the feelings. Yet, with no other real options, I will just keep working on my projects.
At least we will be doing the next mead racking this weekend.
