Somedays I realize just how much it sucks to have fibromyalgia. Like the flu that never goes away. Body aches, head aches, digestive problems, exhaustian, insominia and more! I have slept at least 15 hours a day for the last several. My head hurts, I am tired and restless. I woke up from nightmares again. Blech.

Worse is the inability to do things I want to do. I have so very many things I want to do. I sit here hurting and tired but amazingly frustrated. I see things that need cleaning or putting away, projects I would like to do, things I would like to fix, create, change. I sit here.

Oh, honey. I'm sorry your body is acting up and being painful. While I don't have fibromyalgia myself, I do know what it is to be constantly dealing with pain.

I wish I had the use of both of my legs so that I could rub you and lessen the aches. For now, I'll send what healing energy I can spare in your direction.

*gentle hugs*

I left a message for you with gobs of links in my LJ.

I'm going to have to embark on a journey of education with my new doctor. It took me two years to get my last one up to speed on how to take care of me. I hope it doesn't take this long with this one. The office has already started fiddling with my meds after the initial bloodwork and not having my medical history. *sigh* I want to wallop them, I really do.

Those links are great! I would've listed pretty much all the same ones. (Tried to comment at your journal but it's set to f/o.) Mary Shomon's info is excellent and I discussed Dr. Lowe's theory with Dr. Langer in Berkeley last year. Years ago it was thought that maybe I had fibromyalgia (although that diagnosis was a little dubious with the lack of tender points). Turned out I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and was hypothyroid. After about a month on Armour natural thyroid, I felt 80% better! Maybe this isn't *the* answer for everyone, but I do know it helped me greatly.

Thanks so much for posting--you beat me to the punch. ;) Hopefully, with diligence and networking, we'll get these issues figured out so people can start feeling better soon!
