In Sacramento for the next couple days

Had a long emotional argument with mom this morning. Seems her not being ill and me not being drugged means more conflict between us. It may be time to find her a place of her own nearby.

Then uncledark and I drove up to Sacramento. darkmoon just finished bleaching my hair. So I now sport a blond buzz cut. Soon we will go to dinner with friends and then to see The Kimberly Trip in concert. I will stay the night with Tammy and family. Saturday night we will be at devafall and tiggrrl's housewarming party. Sun UncleDark has to work, and I have a ritual debriefing meeting in the city.

Nice to be out and about...

healthy parent-child growth

that is good news about you and your mom, as hard as it sounds. just as children moving out in their late teens is usually frought with tension but shows that the healthy growth has occured (and the alternative, having loser 28 year old children still living at home means you failed in raising them)... having your mom and you ready to move on AGAIN means a new level of growth you both needed has occured. she is recovering from her illness, and you are growing too, and you are ready once again to live as healthy adult parent and child, close but not too close. congratulations to both of you on your growth and health! :-)
