Off to Arizona

So the car is still not ready for the cross-country trip -- so we are not taking it. airshipjones and uncledark will be staying here. We converted airshipjones' weekend tickets into credit and used them to buy new ones. fairieboy and I leave on a plane this morning for Tucson. We will be staying with my sister Angela while one of my other sisters Beth, my mother and all five of the granddaughters are there. cyan_blue will fly in and meet us Thursday. (Rowan and Angela's husband will be the only males among nine females.)

My sister has planned a day trip to the Grand Canyon, so we will still get to see it.

Then next Monday, fairieboy, cyan_blue and I fly to southern California to meet friends and go to Disneyland. We will be back either the 19th or 20th. Wish us luck.

In Tucson

110 degrees! We are here. And so are two sisters, five nieces and my mom. Oh, and you haven't seen competitive until you have seen that group play rummy. I got photos. Later...
