Exploded head not good for potluck.

I have a migraine! Very big nasty one! Want to crawl in bed and hide under covers!

And I just got email from Barry that 26 people have said they are coming to tonights East Bay Poly Potluck at our house!

I haven't had a shower yet. No one made beds this am. No napkins clean and folded! Need to heat the hot tub! Lots of little things need doing! Aaarrgghh!

Just not in the mood to stand, let alone do all this.

My head feels like it is gonna explode. Which would be very messy. Not good for the potluck. Yecch.

Rabbit Warren decor and the naming of rooms.

If you haven't been to our new house, you won't yet know about the room naming thing. Each bedroom has a name that is suggestive of the decor/atmosphere. It has been fun to have our own rooms and be able to express ourselves in the decorations. When the three of us shared a room, the decorations were always a kind of hodgepodge.

redhatmary's is the Queen's Room. (It is decorate in red and purple Red Hat Society regalia.)
fairieboy's is the Fairy Room. (Fairy and other magical creatures cover the walls, figurines on the shelves and hang from the ceiling.)
airshipjones's is the Zen Room. (Minimalist furniture, Asian art and Japanese swords.)
uncledark's is the Dark Room. (The darkest room, a dark purple Dionysos tapestry covers the windows, goth decorations and a giant Doors poster.)

And mine? The Sun Room. Because i have windows on three sides, a vaulted ceiling and it gets lots of light. It is big so it has an open air feeling. Normally I love this. I really enjoy sunlight. Except when I have a migraine. Still the fresh air is nice.

Ride needed

uncledark's car is dead. We think the heads are blown. And we won't be able to get him a new one too quickly. Will have to wait until airshipjones gets and is at a new job for a bit.

Meanwhile, he will be late for our potluck tonight. He would be less late if someone could give him a ride from work (Ancient Ways store on Telegraph in Oakland) to our home when he gets off work around 7:15 PM. Anyone out there avaiable?
