Livejournal is NOT PRIVATE
Aug. 9th, 2004 09:45 amA recent livejournal discussion that included my loggin name and first name brought up privacy issues for me again. Please be careful with what actions you associate my name in this VERY PUBLIC forum.
FOR THE RECORD: The law does not recognize livejournal, email or any other information on the web as protected by the right to privacy. Any and all posts made to livejournal can be used in court. Friends-only or other such posts do not protect you from such invasion. Anything published here can be and might be used in court. A friend of mine had her and her friends's livejournal posts used against her in a custody battle.
REQUEST: Please do not endanger my child's safety by putting sensitive matter about me in your journal in any way that can be linked to me.
