Sep. 29th, 2003 12:30 amWe all woke up with adrenaline hangovers (especially Troy) after last night's run away truck. (See airshipjones and uncledark for their accounts of the event.) We are all so very very tired we decided to move the next day with a rental truck to Tuesday (yes, our last official day in the house). We spent time unpacking and fixing things here. And, shock of shock, took a break and went to the movies. (Saw "Underworld) It was fun.
Tomorrow (Monday) the guys have work. Lon at the store and Troy has a one day contract. Mary and I will go to the old house and pack things. We could certainly use help as there is still way too much left over there.
Then Tuesday, we move rest of the big stuff including the hot tub, the fountain and the lumber. We also have to clean the place. Please please, if you can help out, give us a call. We really need to finish this so we can go on with our lives and we are so weary.
We are planning a special party for volunteers who have helped us with the move. We are currently envisioning a feast and hot tub event sometime in the next month to which only those who have helped us move will be invited.
The new house is shaping up and we are starting to get a sense of what goes where. It will take weeks maybe more to unpack everything but at least that part feels better and doesn't have the same time constraints. We think it will be a comfortable place for all when we are done.
Well, I had better get some sleep. Morning will come too soon.
