So that's what it feels like....
Oct. 18th, 2002 01:47 amI really had forgotten what it felt like not to be working and/or worrying constantly. At the request/insistence/orders of my partners, I took the night off Wednesday night. I had a friend over, we hung out, we spent some time in the hot tub, played, cuddled, and finally slept peacefully in the Sanctuary. I felt human again. It was so beautiful. So amazing not to be in pain and trying to do ten things at once. I really have to do that more often.
An old friend helped Troy get the last of the wood that was donated for the wheelchair ramp. Our driveway is now covered in wood. Next step is design it, get whatever permissions are required and then, finally, build it. I also go the bonus of getting to have some social time with someone I hadn't seen in 6 months. More and more I am beginning to feel like some part of my life is coming back to me.
Tomorrow (really today given the time) is my niece Alura's 18th birthday. I have to bake and decorate a cake, prepare presents, clean house, send out book orders I have gotten in and, yes, take care of mom. Saturday is her birthday party (which includes many of her friends from Sacramento staying the night). Sunday is the Rabbit Warren social. This will be a busy and very social weekend. I hope I can handle it. I seem better with socializing one-on-one or in very small groups right now.
Hope to have more nice things to say soon...
Love, Dawn
