So it is Feb. 15th, the anniversary of the birth of one of my role models/heroes, Susan B. Anthony. She and her best friend/writing partner, Elizabeth Cady Stanton are among the people I most admire.

Yesterday, I helped [livejournal.com profile] redhatmary host a Valentine's Day Tea Party for her Red Hat Society group, the Red Hats on Wheels. It was lots of fun. I love hosting tea parties and the talk was fun. [livejournal.com profile] redhatmary had also planned several fun little party games with prizes for all. It was delightful. It also reminded me of my childhood birthday parties. She was always such a clever Mama, with lots of fun activities for us kids. She always puts so much of herself into everything she does. This is one of many things I admire about her.

Last night, we changed our Valentine's Day/Birthday plans. On our birthdays, we usually go out to dinner at somewhere picked by the birthday person. Unfortunately, [livejournal.com profile] airshipjones wasn't feeling well enough to go out. So we had a quiet but good evening at home. We ordered dinner from our "Favorite Indian Restaurant" (actual name of the place) and watched "Wallace and Grommet and the Wererabbit." It was a fun evening. [livejournal.com profile] uncledark's laughter is always fantastic. We have a new favorite quote, we embrace our "primitive bunny nature."

I am cleaning my room, listening to music and working on my article. It has been a quiet day. I expect a friend for dinner tonight. And then this weekend, we will be attending Patheacon.
