Poster Family for Polyamory - In the news...

We are in the news again. The Daily Review in Hayward ran three articles on polyamory. One was on our family, one was an interview with my mom and another about the local poly community.

The reporter was inspired to do these three pieces after she did a small piece on our hosting the Walmart documentary last month. When she was here, she asked about our family and found out about polyamory.

We were surprised when the paper ran three pieces. The web articles are shorter than these links to the print versions which contain more. Tell me what you think. I think she did a good job.

Akien says he needs to learn to speak more formally to the press, and I agree. I'm not sure HOW some of my stuff ended up the way it did. Editors, perhaps, or incomplete understanding. We'll definitely need to keep in touch with the L&P Speakers Bureau project as it progresses.

You go! Did you see the recent NCSF report on the Montel Williams episode on poly? By all reports it was surprisingly positive. Between Montel and you we'll get the word out yet.

I also like Mary's best... it cracks me up, her talking about how boring she finds y'all. But it's a good normalizing piece.

The article about the three Rabbits... well, I can see places where the reporter didn't quite get everything down right. But I like what Dawn has to say, I like the general positivity of the piece, and of course I'm tickled at the reference to Dawn's and Lon's girlfriends outside of the triad :-)

Only 2,000? And what was with calling them 'couples'. Grrr I don't like that one researcher who was cited. Either he doesn't get it, or he was very poorly quoted.
