10 Years Ago Today: 1995 ... I was in my second year of graduate school in Anthropology at the University of Iowa. I was working on my Master's Thesis and my first book as well. And it was about this time that we found out that T (then partner, now ex) was pregnant.

5 Years Ago Today: 2000 ... We had moved back to California in 1998. We had visitation with Rowan. I was working on my dissertation research.

1 Year Ago Today: 2004 ... Sold my online bookstore to focus on writing my dissertation to finish my doctorate. Found out that the UI Anthropology department wouldn't let me finish my Ph.D. Decided to work on my novel in progress.

Yesterday: Sunday ... Spending the day transplanting roses for my new home. Looking forward to finishing my novel. Working on applications for teaching positions.
