Great Weekend, Quiet Work Monday

cyan_blue on Friday afternoon. Then I went to see Serenity with airshipjones, uncledark and calvin_xc1. We were joined there by friends. We truly enjoyed the film and all highly recommend it.
On Saturday I was able to go withredhatmary and other Redhatters to the "Tea and Melodrama" at the Ardenwood Historical Farm. It was a lot of fun.
Sunday we hosted Victoria's 5th Birthday Party. The turn out was great with over a dozen kids and over a dozen adults. It was a great success. Everyone had fun, the kids most of all. I really enjoyed watching them and being with friends. Then I spent a quiet evening with my wonderful partners.
Today I am working on cleaning my room, particularly my closet. I still have a half dozen boxes to unpack, sort and put away in my closet. And I have laundry to hang up etc.
I also need to work on my cover letters. For what you say? I am applying for community college teaching positions in Anthropology and Women's Studies. If I get them, they probably wouldn't start until next fall, spring at the earliest. I miss teaching. I spent my year and a day focusing on my writing. I am still writing but I really miss being out in the world. I believe I could handle part time teaching along with my writing. In fact, I think it might help excite me for my writing. I always get a mental buzz from teaching.
